Hello all, today in our Monthly Meeting we discussed the idea of Miniature Painting Film Nights with @Nadia Khan , proposing to start with Amit Dutta's Nainsukh. I uploaded some stills in this forum > Writing and Films about Painting > Amit Dutta films, and also included a mini review of the latest one I saw which is about traditional architecture; art and architecture in terms of traditional practice had a lot in common and it's a really aesthetically pleasing film. Go watch it! And I'd love to read your comments on it.
Film nights: perhaps once a season or twice a year? Weekends perhaps. We'll see!
An option? Nainsukh movie for free here, courtesy of the Rietberg museum: https://rietberg.ch/en/nainsukh
Fantastic! Thank you so much! Best days for me are Thursday or Saturday. I can make the other days but it would take some juggling. Profuse gratitude! This is splendid indeed.
@Susan Dobrian @Nadia Bouhdili @Sara @Anastasia Doran @Dominique Fayad @Mary Yaeger @Alison Guest @Genève Gil @Merve B. would you like to join us? please vote on the showing date if you can come!
@Kathlyn Powell I've gotten a DVD and will be streaming it. Similar to inviting everyone over to my house to watch!
How would this work? I can't find Nainsukh available to watch anywhere here... would love to see it! If you have a way to see it in the US, I'm all ears!! That would be brilliant!
Hey, let's pick a night to watch Nainsukh! Here's the trailer:
