Dear Vaishali,
I hope you are doing well. Since I missed the last week’s lecture and demonstration, I am attaching a set of images that display my work in progress. When you get some time, may I request to me provide me with some feedback with regards to whether I am moving in the right direction?
I very much appreciate your guidance and kindness.
Sincerely,
Pranav
This is very kind and helpful of you. Thanks a lot, Vaishali!
I hope that feedback helps Pranav! And look forward to seeing you in class!
4-2 As above. If you like, you can make the wings of the bird slightly sharper and more pointy to match the feathers - so not as round. Still round, but 'kind of pointy'. Again is something we can change in class and is easy to do.
4-1 Fabulous! The eye - you've already done it and doesn't matter; we can say the eye is the 'life' of the painting so can be filled in last and simply traced as a circle, but actually doesn't matter. You can afford to go a teeny tiny bit lighter for your traced lines ie infinitesimally less pressure on the pencil, but again, doesn't matter, and am only saying it for the sake of saying something to make it even better, as I can see you can do it and have a very good hand already.
3-1 Perfect!
2-1 Transfer is working well! Good to check during the process, yes.
1-1 This is a good tracing with enough information for you to transfer and colour fill; that's all you need, you don't need every single line detail in the rocks. Nice glass calligraphy tool which you can also use to transfer or as a ruling pen too.
