So lovely seeing everyone’s works! This is my first attempt and I really love the process - paper prep, burnishing, outlining, flat colour etc. I think next time I’d do bigger creatures, more clouds & way fewer rocks 😀 as I found tapai particularly tricky to do. I don’t think it’s quite finished but would love to take in any suggestion! I read somewhere here about ‘washing‘ the paint off to start again which I love the idea of - I just need ideas to take the piece elsewhere 😃 BTW I watched your ppt presentation 3 times Vaishali, as it was so interesting and with all your examples. being able to re-watch your process was so good as there’s a lot to take in! not sure where my photo‘s gone so sorry for uploading twice! Not sure what that black square is but I didn’t paint it 😅

I love your colors @Jenny Pang ! and the deer and the clouds are amazing! I also find rocks to be a bit challenging...
Welcome @Jenny Pang ! I have been teaching rocks for years thinking they were among the easiest things to paint since you can't paint a 'wrong' rock... however now I've had a bit of a change of heart, and perhaps because they are so abstracted, they can be a challenge for beginners who haven't seen this kind of form before. Therefore, am rethinking my teaching - will carry on teaching the elementals but differentiate for less experienced and more experienced folk - and will teach the actual recognisable forms eg faces and animals as at least then you've seen them loads before (even if not in miniatures then in other paintings or real life!) and are better placed to judge... which is why your deer do look like deer/ibex/animals I don't quite know the name of! Good opportunity to learn too!
Haha 3 times, wow! Hopefully it all made sense!
Washing the paint off... I hope to do a video on this one day. Easier shown then talked about!
Happy holidays!
